About this program

Wage subsidy program for employers hiring post-secondary co-operative education students for 12–16 week work placements. Employers receive $8 per hour ($9.50 for students from designated diversity groups) for student wages, reimbursed up to 640 hours. Students must work a minimum of 390 hours and earn at least $18/hour.
