About this program

What this program funds
The Excellence in Literacy Foundation provides small grants through the ELF Small Grants program to support literacy work across Canada. Registered Canadian charities can apply for amounts between $500 and $2,000 to fund direct literacy program delivery. Projects must involve active program delivery connected to literacy; book-buying projects without a direct delivery component are not eligible. The foundation focuses on literacy, education, and children and youth sectors. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
