What this program funds

Mitacs administers the Globalink Research Award (GRA) - Quantum Stream, a federal program supporting research collaborations in quantum technologies between Canada and eligible countries. The program funds international mobility of senior undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Canadian universities are eligible to apply. There is no limit on the number of projects an institution can submit, and awards do not count against institutional allocations. The program covers quantum computation (hardware, algorithms, and software), quantum communication, networks and cryptography, and quantum metrology, sensing, imaging, and materials.

Awards range from 6000 to 12000 Canadian dollars. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants should submit at least 16 weeks before their intended project start date.
