About this program

The Industrial Research Chair (IRC) initiative establishes and enhances research capacity at Northern Ontario universities, colleges, and research institutions. Funding covers up to 50% of eligible costs (maximum $1 million) as a conditional contribution for projects up to five years in duration, supporting research that transforms Northern Ontario's key economic sectors.
