About this program

CanExport SMEs helps eligible Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (3–500 employees, $300K–$100M annual revenue) expand into new international markets by cost-sharing (50/50) eligible international business development activities such as trade missions, market research, marketing adaptation, and IP protection. Funding is competitive and limited; approximately $31 million CAD available for 2026-27 fiscal year.
